It all began in 1885
Bodegas Cerdá is a family business situated in Hondon de las Nieves. It was founded in 1885 by the first family member José Cerdá Perez.
The beginning was very difficult but with a lot of sacrifice. Bodegas Cerdá is today the most important Bodega in the Comunidad Valenciana.
2nd Generation
José Cerdá Poveda was the second generation. He carried on the business in the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s, giving the basis of the Bodega and it was José Cerdá Poveda who carried on the business along with his studies while being only nine years old.
Cellar consolidation
from the 1970s to the new millennium
The last member, Jose Francisco Cerdá Poveda was the person who in the 70s, 80s, 90s and in the beginning of the new Milenium increased the volume of sales amidst stiff competition. José Francisco Cerdá Poveda gave in the new milenium the business to his children José Francisco Cerdá Cremades and Carolina Cerdá Cremades,they are the fourth generation.
